       The Executive Committee meeting of the Association of Retired Teachers was held on 11th September, 2013 at Prof. Achamma John’s residence. The meeting began at 4 P.M with prayer. Prof. John Kurakar, Secretary of the Association welcomed the members. Prof. Achamma John, president of the Association presided. Prof T.BabuKutty, Prof. John Rajan, Prof. T.G Rajan, Prof. V.K Mathew, Prof. Jacob John, Prof. Leelamma Babukutty, Prof. Molly Kurakar, Prof. Suseela Devi also spoke on the occasion. Prof. V.K Mathew expressed vote of thanks.

2NDANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE RETIRED COLLEGE TEACHERS ASSOCIATION
The 2nd annual Conference of the Retired College Teachers Association (RCTA) was held on 25th May, 2013 at Thrissur Pearl Regency Auditorium. The Flag Hosting Ceremony was at 9 am by Prof. Abraham Philip. Public Function started at 9.45 am with prayer song. Prof. G. Geevarghese, Secretary General welcomed the Chief Guests and gatherings. Prof. Abraham Philip, president, RCTA, presided. Mr. K.Babu,Hon.Minister of Excise inaugurated the function. Mr.I.P Paul, Mayor, Thrissur Muncipality delivered keynote address. Advocate Thomas Unniyadan MLA, Mr. T.N Prathapan, Prof.C. RaveendraNath, Mr. K.V Dasan, Prof. Annam John Corporation Councilor, Dr. C.K Thomas, Mr. K. Gopalakrishnan, Prof. Dr. K. Chandrasakaran Nair, Prof. V.P John’s spoke on the public function.
The 2nd session was started at 11.15 Advocate Therambil Ramakrishnan MLA presided. Prof. Dr K. Haridasan Pillai welcomed. Mr. N. Balakrishnan ,Hon Minister of Co-operation inaugurated the 2nd session Mr. P.A Madhavan MLA, Mr. M.P Winsent MLA,Mr. T.R Renju,Managing Director, Sheduled Casts Coporation,Mr. N.K Benny, N.G.O Association,Mr. V Balagopalan, Prof G. Jayakrishnan,Mr. K.J Rafi, Prof. M.P Isaack, Mr.K Shamsudeen, Mr. M.C Thycaud and Prof Prof Ibrahim Kutty also spoke on the 2nd session
3rd Session was begun at 12.45pm. Three Senior Teachers, more than 80 age, including Prof. Abraham Philip, president of association. Honorable Teachers honored with Ponnada(Golden Shawl) and  awards. After the Lunch State Council was started at 2 pm. The 2nd conference was concluded at 3.30 pm.

SENIOR COLLEGE TEACHERS MEET AT MUNNAR



KOTTARAKARA COLLEGE ART CAMP AT MUNNAR MARTHOMA CENTRE

St. Gregorios College Retired College Teachers Association (ART) conducted its annual(2013) study camp at Munnar Marthoma Retreat Center on 17th and 18th of May,2013. The journey started from Kurakar Garden’s, the residence of Prof. John Kurakar on 17th May at 6.30 am. The team includes eleven members, Prof. Achamma John, Prof. John Rajan, Prof. John Kurakar, Prof. Molly Kurakar, Mr. Manu Kurakar, Grand son of Prof. John Rajan, Prof. Babu Kutty, Prof Leelamma Babu, Prof. Uniikrishna Pillai, Mrs Unnikrishna Pillai,  and  Dr.T.V Thomas.
A meeting was arranged at Koothattukulam Anikoottathil house, the residence of Prof. Abraham Philip, the patron of ART. The team reached Munnar at 3.30 pm Friday,17th May,2012. The team visited Tea estate, Munnar
Town and other important places. 2nd day,18th May, the team visited Mattupetti Dam, Munnar Garden, view point, Munnar Lake and other beautiful hill areas. After the lunch, 2pm the team returned to Kottarkara. The teachers visited Prof. Suresh Babu’s house and expressed heartfelt condolence to the demise of our dear Suresh Babu. He died in the early morning on 18th May,2013
