TRIBUTE PAID TO REV. FR. PROF. KOSHY CHACKO

OF ST. GREGORIOS COLLEGE, KOTTARAKARA

Ref. Fr. Prof. Koshy Chacko, former Professor and Principal of St. Gregorios College, Kottarakara passed away at Mavalikara on 23^rd July,2012. He was 82. He is survived by his wife Grace Mary Samuel ( Rtd Techer, two sons Aby, Prabeen and a daughter Dr. Nissy. The funeral rites will be held at the Mavalikara Puthiyakavy St. Marys Orthodox Cathedral at 3 pm. He served as a vicar in many churches around Mavalikara.  He was the classmate ofH.H Bethlomia pathriyarkeese.Hundreds from all sections of the society paid their last respects. The last journey from home began by 1.30 p.m. Special funeral prayers at his house were lead by Catholicos of East H.H Basalios Mathoma Poulose I and other Bishops of the church. Among those who paid their last respects to Fr. ART STUDY CAMP AT VAGAMON HEIGHTS

The ART( Association of Retired Teachers of Kottarakara College conducted its annual study camp on 15^th and 16^th of May 2012 at Vagamon Heights Resort . The team of ART members started its journey from Kottarkara on 15^th May, 2012 at 8 am. The team reached Vagamon at 1 pm. After the lunch Inagural session of the study camp began at 3pm at the open auditorium of the  resort. The resort arranged Treking through the deep forest and top of the hill areas of the vagamon. They also arranged Boating through the Vagamon Lake. The second session of the ART was at 8.30 pm on 15^th May. Prof. Achamma John, President of ART  presided.Prof. John Kurakar, Secretary of the Association welcomed the members. Prof.T.Babu Kutty inaugurated the Study Camp. Prof.K.J Cheriyan,,Prof.John Rajan, Prof. George Thomas,Prof. Annamma George, Prof. Nirmala Mathew Prof. M.Annamma, Prof Annamma George, Prof. Jessy George,, Prof. P.K Varghese, Mrs Lissy Varghese, Prof.Molly Kurakar, Prof. Leelamma Babukutty Mrs Molly Cheriyan  were addressed the meeting The women’s team of ART presented  devotional songs. The grand child of Prof.Babukutty & Prof.K.J Cherian were also participated on the study camp and tour.

16^th May,2012, 2^nd day of the study camp began at 8.30 am. After the breakfast the team visited  Kurishu mala, Pine forest, Kolagala medu and Thangal para and other  tourist-historical places in vagamon. The team returned to Kottarakara on 16^th May on 5 pm. 20 members participated the study camp and tour programme
